This is an intermediate-level course designed for the development of human creativity and managing innovations. In a broader sense innovation is critical to well-being of the all humankind through nationwide development while creativity is the inner ability to think in novelty and differently. The prosperity, economic strength, and ability to compete in the global economy of any country depend on valuing innovation, harnessing its potential, and putting it to work for the benefit of a nation. Also, that contributes a lot to the development of society by providing novel solutions to personal and social problems.
Entrepreneurship cannot be separated from innovation due to this is one of the main key elements of entrepreneurship. Also, it helps to differentiate entrepreneurs from traditional businessmen. World successful entrepreneurs have engaged in continuous innovations for the sustainable growth of their own firms by overriding competitors. The dynamic and turbulent modern environment is creating a lot of difficulties for entrepreneurs and challenging their existence. Therefore, in order to face that challenge successfully entrepreneurs use creativity and innovations as a strategic weapon. This could help to differentiate them from others and gain a sustainable competitive advantage to their organizations as well as personal success. This course involves discussing the concepts of creativity and innovations, creativity and problem-solving, the creative process, obstacles that inhibit creativity, overcoming obstacles and developing creativity, key elements of creative thinking and approaches to creative thinking. Management Games and workshops with Brainstorming will be used as the basic techniques in changing the traditional framework of thinking and developing the necessary skills.
