This course offers a solid foundation in the business planning process with a primary focus on the Business Model Canvas (BMC) as a strategic tool for planning, evaluating, and developing new business ideas. It is designed to guide students through the early stages of entrepreneurship—assessing business opportunities, generating creative ideas, and selecting viable ventures for further development.
Through a combination of formal lectures, field visits, and both indoor and outdoor workshops, students will explore each component of the Business Model Canvas in depth. They will learn how to practically apply the BMC framework to real-world scenarios, enabling them to understand customer segments, value propositions, revenue models, key resources, and other essential aspects of a business.
The course is highly interactive and places a strong emphasis on teamwork, experiential learning, and peer-to-peer collaboration. In addition, students will be encouraged to develop essential soft skills such as communication, time management, presentation delivery, and interpersonal effectiveness—key attributes for any aspiring entrepreneur.
By the end of the course, students will be able to use the Business Model Canvas to design, test, and present a robust and realistic business model, preparing them for the next stages of business planning and execution.
